The first powerful and completely educational Motivation Session of the 2023-24 season took place with an incredible artist and person: Mikee, one of the longest-running and most famous Greek DJs.

He started in 1992 tuned into the international techno scene, specifically inspired by the underground techno sounds of Detroit, the underground house of Chicago and New York and afro beats. In combination with his broad musical knowledge, he created a unique tribal tech house/techno style that made him stand out.

DJ at Factory, QBase, UMatic, producer and founder of Deep Phase, but also resident in the top group Blend, he is behind the biggest parties in the city, having largely shaped the Greek dance scene.

He talked to us about all of this, answered our students' many questions and gave us a little insight into what it's like to play alongside the "greatest" DJs in the world such as: Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Marco Carola, Jeff Mills, Kevin Saunderson, Adam Beyer and so many others.

He even talked about, perhaps, the highlight of his career as a DJ, when he was invited by London's most famous underground club, Fabric, along with top DJs and producers.
