OPEN FORMAT
The DJing Open Format course is designed for those who want to learn to play the so-called open format music, which works in every space and situation - from bars and clubs, to all kinds of events and celebrations.
It is a broader approach to DJing, with an emphasis on flexibility, practical use and the musical flow that the "market" demands.
In Open Format we learn to play music in all ways and all means of reproduction: from laptop-based sets to hybrid setups where the computer acts as a musical base, but the skills play with equipment.
The main music programs on which we learn to edit are Rekordbox (official Pioneer application) and Traktor, so that you can work in any setup. We also get acquainted with multiplayers such as the CDJ-3000, CDJ-2000 NXS2, CDJ-100, as well as midi controllers such as DDJ FLX4, DDJ FLX1000, DDJ-RR, DDJ-800, DDJ-1000.
In Open Format you develop a multitude of skills that a modern DJ needs, beyond beatmatching:
- Genre categorization & playlist resurrection function
- Rhythm, stage presence & set-list flow
- Live set management and performance accompaniment with live instruments/band
- Social media & marketing for DJs
You learn how to "read" the audience and keep the energy alive on the dancefloor. You also gain flexibility in many genres and styles of music - rock, pop, dance, R&B, club tracks. Of course, you have continuous personalized guidance, so that you can develop your own musical identity.
The lesson takes place once a week, while our members have the opportunity to do two 70-minute practices in our Dj Booth.
So each of our members can be at our place three times a week, for lessons and practice, while the rest of DJSA services such as the Business Hub/Meeting Room are available all week.
